π✨ "LIGHTS IN THE DARKNESS" — A DREAM FROM GOD AND A CALL TO SHINE
By Molly
Last night, I had a dream—a divine revelation that lit something inside my soul.
I saw the globe, suspended in the vastness of space, shrouded in the stillness of night. As I looked, the earth wasn’t completely dark. Tiny lights sparkled all across the continents—some faint, some bright, like street lamps or stars scattered across the land.
I asked the Lord, “What am I seeing?”
And He answered me gently, “These are the ones who have accepted Jesus. They are the light of the world.”
In that moment, I felt the weight of heaven’s heart. When God looks upon the earth, He sees darkness and light.
Not borders, not skyscrapers, not the noise of nations—but hearts. Lit or unlit. Burning or cold. Awakened or lost.
Jesus said,
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden."
— Matthew 5:14 (ESV)
Every believer is a lamp. A living flame lit by the fire of God’s Spirit. When we walk in His ways, we shine. When we love, we shine. When we testify of Christ, we shine. When we walk in purity, humility, and truth—we shine.
But if we hide…
If we live in fear or shrink back into silence…
If we forget who we are…
Then the world grows darker, not because the darkness is stronger, but because the light refused to shine.
"Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house."
— Matthew 5:15 (ESV)
"Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
— Matthew 5:16 (ESV)
In my dream, each light represented a believer—whether in Africa, Asia, Europe, the islands, or the remotest village on earth. The Spirit reminded me of Paul’s words to the Philippians:
"...you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life."
— Philippians 2:15–16 (NIV)
This is not a call to pride, but to purpose.
It’s not about trying to be the light through effort—it’s about letting Jesus, the Light of the world, shine through us.
"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'"
— John 8:12 (ESV)
And so, I ask you—
When God looks down tonight, will your light be seen?
Not because you’re perfect. Not because you're loud. But because you belong to Him, and you're willing to shine.
This dark world doesn’t need more noise.
It needs more light.
More love.
More truth.
More Jesus.
We are not here to blend into the night.
We are here to blaze—like lanterns on a hilltop, stars in a black sky, candles in a storm.
So shine, child of God.
Shine when it's hard.
Shine when you're tired.
Shine when you're the only one in the room.
Because someone is watching.
Someone is searching.
And your light might just lead them home.
