FINDING GRACE IN A BROKEN WORLD
In Genesis 6, the world was filled with wickedness. Violence, corruption, and rebellion against God had spread across the earth. Yet in the middle of such darkness, one man stood out: “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” (Genesis 6:8) That single verse carries a powerful truth for us today. We, too, are living in times where wickedness abounds. There is war and bloodshed across nations. There is violence even within homes. Poverty and starvation affect countless families. Many feel helpless in the flood of evil and suffering around us. But just as Noah found grace, we can also seek God’s grace for our lives. Grace is more than just unmerited favor — it is God’s divine covering, His protection, His provision, and His peace. Grace lifted Noah and his family above the floodwaters, and grace can lift us above the floods of this life. When the world shakes, God’s grace can keep us standing.
