FINDING GRACE IN A BROKEN WORLD

In Genesis 6, the world was filled with wickedness. Violence, corruption, and rebellion against God had spread across the earth. Yet in the middle of such darkness, one man stood out: “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” (Genesis 6:8)

That single verse carries a powerful truth for us today. We, too, are living in times where wickedness abounds. There is war and bloodshed across nations. There is violence even within homes. Poverty and starvation affect countless families. Many feel helpless in the flood of evil and suffering around us.

But just as Noah found grace, we can also seek God’s grace for our lives. Grace is more than just unmerited favor — it is God’s divine covering, His protection, His provision, and His peace. Grace lifted Noah and his family above the floodwaters, and grace can lift us above the floods of this life.

When the world shakes, God’s grace can keep us standing. When there is lack, His grace can provide food and shelter. When fear overwhelms us, His grace brings peace that passes understanding.

This is my prayer: “Lord, give me Your grace. Protect me and my family. Provide for us, and keep us safe in You. Just as You carried Noah through the storm, carry us through these troubled times.”

May we not be consumed by the wickedness of the world but instead be covered by the grace of God. For His grace is still sufficient, and His power is made perfect in our weakness.
