ISAIAH 43: GOD’S ASSURANCE IN THE FACE OF THE RAPTURE

When we seek God with sincere hearts, He always responds. You asked Him about the rapture, and He pointed you to Isaiah 43—a chapter filled with comfort, promises, and reminders of His covenant love. Let us walk through the message hidden in this chapter.

1. GOD KNOWS US BY NAME

"But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine." (Isaiah 43:1 NIV)

Before the trumpet sounds, before the gathering of the saints, God reminds His people: “You are mine.” This verse is not just reassurance—it is identity. The rapture is not for strangers but for those He knows by name. If we belong to Him, fear is replaced with hope.

2. HIS PRESENCE IN THE FIRE AND WATERS

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." (Isaiah 43:2 NIV)

The days before the rapture may be filled with trials, pressures, and testing. Yet God promises His abiding presence. Just as He preserved Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire, He will preserve His children until the appointed moment of rescue.

3. A PEOPLE SET APART FOR HIS GLORY

"Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made." (Isaiah 43:7 NIV)

The rapture is not random—it is the calling home of those set apart for His glory. Isaiah 43 reminds us that our lives are not ordinary; we were formed for His purpose. His return is not abandonment, but fulfillment of His plan.

4. GOD DECLARES THE FUTURE

"You are my witnesses," declares the Lord, "and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he." (Isaiah 43:10 NIV)

This verse points us back to prophecy. God is not caught by surprise, and neither should His children be. The rapture is part of His divine plan. As witnesses, we must remain alert, faithful, and ready, declaring to others that He alone is God.

5. A NEW THING IS COMING

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" (Isaiah 43:19 NIV)

The rapture itself is the “new thing” that many cannot perceive. It will be sudden, it will be divine, and it will change everything. Just as God made a way through the Red Sea, He will make a way for His people through the clouds into eternal glory.

CONCLUSION: HOLD FAST TO HIS PROMISES

Isaiah 43 is God’s love letter to His people—filled with assurance, protection, and hope. In a world trembling with uncertainty, His word anchors us. If we are His, we need not fear the times or seasons. The rapture is not something to dread, but the blessed hope of those who trust Him.

"Do not fear, for I am with you." (Isaiah 43:5 NIV)
